With the certainty of his injury, Kris Letang will not play for the Pittsburgh Penguins this afternoon in the Winter Classic versus the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park.
Letang returned to Montreal to be with his family after his father passed away; he was with the Penguins yesterday but did not participate in practise.
Thursday’s game in Las Vegas is the next scheduled contest, but no word has been given on when he will return.
Kris Letang will miss his second consecutive game due to his most recent injury in an outdoor contest. The Penguins lost to the Devils, 4-2, on Friday, and he didn’t play.
