One-third of the rap group Migos, Takeoff, was killed in a shooting in Houston, Texas on Tuesday (1 November).
Kirshnik Khari Ball, the rapper, died at the age of 28.
At at 2:34 am local time (7:34 am GMT), police were summoned to the scene of a gunshot at 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley in downtown Houston, where a private party of about 40 people was in progress.
The Migos member Takeoff and his friend Quavo were there. Quavo (actual name: Quavious Keyate Marshall) avoided harm during the scuffle. Offset, the third member of Migos, was noticeably absent.
Shootings occurred following an argument that started over a game of dice. At the site, Takeoff’s death was officially declared.

Several famous people have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late rapper, with James Corden, Drake, SZA, Outkast, and Khloé Kardashian all joining the conversation.
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner has appealed for witnesses to “step up” with information in the absence of any arrests in connection with the incident.
Fans of the artist and the police have asked that violent videos of the incident not be shared online.
